In the year gone by we celebrated our anniversary with great reverence and immense pleasure. A considerable number of employees as well as individual personalities have performed great services that have become a part of this incomparable history over more than 150 years. Being ahead of their time was the destiny of the watches designed by Max Bill in the 1950s and 1960s – in the intervening years they have become important and successful classics. We are entering into a sporting partnership with BOGNER GmbH & Co KG a.A. A dynamic mechanical watch line has been developed in close collaboration with the successful sportsman, filmmaker and fashion designer, the driving force behind which was Willy Bogner himself. 2012 is dedicated entirely to the motto “Time for top-class sporting performances”. Achieving an accuracy of within a fraction of a second was the challenge faced by Junghans exactly 40 years ago. To commemorate the 40th anniversary of sports timekeeping inaugurated at the Munich Olympics in 1972, a special watch line is being introduced. With the 1972 model series, we are recalling the sporting achievements and reviving the style of the 1970s.

Launched as a tribute to a great personality, Erhard Junghans watches pursue an important overarching goal: to expand our in-house production depth on a step-by-step basis. The heart of the featured Kaliber J330 is its specially developed balance wheel with a blued breguet hairspring made by hairspring manufacturer Carl Haas in top-quality Nivarox alloy, produced in our own home town. 2012 – a good year for our watches from Schramberg.
